  • What’s the history behind The Dispatch’s name?

    Great question, and one worth knowing! The building that houses Magnolia Hotel Houston was originally constructed in 1926 by Humble Oil founder Ross Sterling to house his newspaper, the Houston Post-Dispatch. At the time, it was the tallest building in Houston. The Dispatch pays homage to that legacy while bringing it into the modern era.
